Tax Time Resources and Opportunities to #GETBANKED
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will cosponsor a webinar on January 27, 2022. Designed for bankers and staff of community-based organizations, this webinar will provide information and resources to help low-and moderate-income households open safe bank accounts and manage their tax filings. Representatives from the Internal Revenue Service, University of Missouri, and Kansas State University will provide an overview of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, Earned Income Tax Credit, Economic Impact Payments, and Child Tax Credit, and Immigrants Tax Assistance locations. Also, representatives from AARP, Legal Aid, and Kansas Legal Services will provide an overview of tax resources for consumers and small business. Register here.
